During the second week of the Arłamow holidays, we met at workshops with the Polish Himalayan mountaineer, conqueror of the Broad Peak eight-thousander, Agnieszka Bielecka, among others, and with the three-time Polish vice-champion in Latin American and standard dances and two-time Polish vice-champion in Latin American dances - Rafał Maserak.
In a specially prepared room, sitting on comfortable pouffes and deckchairs, the kids and their parents had the opportunity to listen to interesting stories and learn about the history of distant parts of the world. Each day was different: one day the children put up a tent, another they “climbed” an eight-thousander or took part in a trip to the land of the polar white bears.
The traveller asked various questions, thus testing the children's alertness and ingenuity, stimulating their imagination and further engaging them in the activities.
For the active of all ages, a dance workshop was led by Rafał Maserak. The classes were divided into segments: one specially designed for children and another prepared for adults. Rafał establishes a great rapport with the children - every choreography performed gave them a lot of joy and satisfaction, even if it was not performed perfectly the first time. However, under the guidance of an excellent teacher, each repetition became easier and easier. Dancing combined with humour is great fun!
Next week, equally fascinating and interesting events await our guests. Next time the classes will be led by Monika Witkowska and Tomasz Barański. Monika is a journalist, writer and traveller who has visited over 170 countries on all continents. She is passionate about sea and ocean voyages. Tomek is one of the best Polish professional dancers, choreographer and sports dance instructor. He holds an international master class “S” in latino-am dances.
