Nowy odcinek trasy S19

Kolejny odcinek trasy S19 został oddany do użytku. Jest to fragment inwestycji VIA CARPATHIA.

11 października został udostępniony do użytku przez kierowców 9,5 km odcinek z Lasów Janowskich (woj. lubelskie) do Zdziar (woj. Podpkarpackie). Jest to jeden z odcinków trasy S19 na relacji Rzeszów – Lublin i jeden z sześciu odcinków S19 na terenie Podkarpacia, z czego zakończenie ostatniego z nich jest planowane na czerwiec przyszłego roku.

VIA CARPATHIA, która w dużej mierze pokrywa się z S19, to międzynarodowa trasa, która ma połączyć południe z północą Europy. W Polsce ta trasa docelowo ma mieć ponad 700 km, które umożliwią przejazd ze Słowacji na Białoruś przez Rzeszów, Lublin i Białystok. Przewiduje się, że polska część VIA CARPATHI będzie oddana do użytku w 2026 roku.
