The idea of the museum dates back to 1968.The Centre is a museum but also runs a scientific and academic activity.The exhibition displays exhibits connected with the Bieszczady area, including its fauna and flora (also prehistoric), geology, hydrology, ethnography, architecture and environmental protection.
